Excel-based time calculations for manufacturing operations are prone to errors. If the time value which is determined is then transferred to SAP manually, there is an additional lack of transparency: the calculation bases are no longer traceable. The machine manufacturer Flender makes use of a software solution for the Penig site which enables target time determination to be carried out largely automatically directly in SAP. The specialist in drive technology has thereby optimised the quality of its time specifications and reduced the delta between target and actual times.
